The round also attracted participation from Coinbase Ventures and North Island Ventures, highlighting growing investor interest in projects that combine artificial intelligence with crypto-native infrastructure.
Unlike traditional AI assistants, Venice AI focuses on privacy. The platform allows users to access large language models without creating persistent chat histories or extensive user profiles. Many requests are processed with an emphasis on minimizing data collection, appealing to developers, researchers, and privacy-conscious users who are uncomfortable with centralized AI services.
The funding also reflects a broader shift in crypto investment. Rather than backing speculative tokens alone, venture firms are increasingly supporting infrastructure companies that apply blockchain principles—such as decentralization, user ownership, and privacy—to emerging technologies like AI.
According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to expand its infrastructure, improve model performance, and accelerate product development.
